Privacy policy

How Lendrite collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information.

Last updated: September 28, 2026

This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information Lendrite Mortgages Inc. (“Lendrite”, “we”) collects, why we collect it, where it is kept, and the choices you have. We are a mortgage brokerage in British Columbia, and we follow BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

1. Our privacy officer

Our privacy officer is Sunny Bal. For any privacy question, request or complaint, email info@lendrite.ca or call 778 320 2000.

2. What this website collects

We only collect what you choose to send us through the forms on this site:

  • Contact form: your name, email, phone number, the type of mortgage you are asking about, and your message.
  • Online application: your name, email, phone, preferred language and contact method, the type of mortgage and property, the city, the property value, your down payment, your timeline, your type of employment, household income, an estimate of your credit range, and any notes you add. The online application does not ask for documents, your SIN or your date of birth.
  • Renewal reminder: your name, email, phone (optional), your renewal date and your current lender.
  • Booking a call: our booking page uses Zoho Bookings. The details you enter there (name, email, phone, the time you choose) go to our Zoho account.

Form submissions go straight into our client relationship system, Zoho CRM, which is hosted in Zoho’s Canadian data centre. We use them to reply to you and, if you ask us to, to start work on your mortgage.

Analytics and cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal information or track you across other websites; we only see totals. This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The embedded booking calendar may set cookies that Zoho needs for it to work.

Hosting. This website runs on Vercel, which, like any web host, briefly processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and keep the site secure. Vercel processes this outside Canada.

3. When you become a client

To arrange a mortgage we need more information, which we ask for directly (not through this website). This usually includes proof of identity, income and employment documents, bank statements, property details and information about your debts. Laws such as Canada’s anti-money-laundering rules require us to verify your identity and keep certain records.

Credit reports. We only obtain your credit report with your consent. When you give it, you authorize Lendrite Mortgages Inc. and the lenders your application is sent to to obtain your credit report and to verify the information you have given us.

4. How we use and share your information

We use your information to:

  • reply to you and give you mortgage advice;
  • prepare your application and send it to the lenders you approve, and to mortgage insurers, appraisers and your lawyer or notary as needed to complete the mortgage;
  • meet our legal and regulatory duties, including to the BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) and FINTRAC, and compliance reviews by our mortgage network, DLC A.I.M.I. Collective;
  • remind you about your renewal or send you updates you asked for (you can stop these at any time).

We share information only with the people and service providers who need it for these purposes, and they must protect it. We never sell your personal information.

5. Where your information is stored and processed

Your client file is stored in Canada. Our client records and documents are kept in a secure database hosted in Canada and in Zoho WorkDrive and Zoho CRM in Zoho’s Canadian data centre. Our email runs on Google Workspace.

6. How we protect it

Only the people working on your file can see it. Our team signs in with two-step verification, connections are encrypted, highly sensitive numbers (such as your SIN and account numbers) are encrypted separately, uploaded files are scanned for viruses, download links expire after a few minutes, and every time someone opens a document it is recorded. No system is perfect, but if a breach ever puts you at risk, we will tell you and report it as the law requires.

7. How long we keep it

We keep client files, including documents, for seven years after the file closes, because our regulators require it. After that we securely delete them. If you only sent us an enquiry and did not go further, we keep your details only as long as needed to follow up with you, and we will delete them sooner if you ask, unless the law requires us to keep them.

8. Your choices and rights

  • See your information. You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct it. If something is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
  • Withdraw consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contract limits. We will explain what that means for your file (for example, we cannot arrange a mortgage without a credit check).
  • Stop marketing messages. Use the unsubscribe link, reply “stop”, or email us. Messages about an active file may continue until it closes.

Send requests to our privacy officer at info@lendrite.ca. We will respond within the time PIPA allows (generally 30 days). If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. See also our Terms of Use and Regulatory Disclosures.
